Purchase Commitments

The Purchase Commitments dashboard is a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central add-on that is used to track all committed purchases from orders, pending invoices, and posted invoices, and compare them to any G/L Budget. Purchases can be tracked by date, by budget, or by global dimensions, like department or project.

How much of your budget is already committed to future purchases, on open orders or invoices? How do you know if you're over-budget when making a new purchase?

The Purchase Commitments dashboard allows you to track purchases that are:

• Invoiced
• Pending Invoicing
• Ordered
• Budgeted

Purchase Commitments can be tracked by any combination of:

• Date
• G/L Budget
• Global Dimension 1 Code
• Global Dimension 2 Code

Additional Features:

• Drill-down on any amount to see which purchase lines make up the total
• Variance field turns red when over budget
• View/Edit the dashboard in Excel
